CUSTOMER HIGHLIGHT: FORMICA

Each year Formica launches new products at tradeshows however, many shows were canceled so we helped bring the vision of a virtual unboxing launch to life.

We are super excited to share one of what we feel is the coolest product launches in 2020.  First a little bit of info on the company. Formica Group is a leading provider of branded, designed surfacing solutions for commercial and residential customers worldwide. As the world’s largest manufacturer of High-Pressure Laminate (HPL), their international network of design, manufacturing, distribution, and sales operations maintains the recognition of Formica® as a global brand.

Each year Formica launches its new product lines, finishes, and colors during the tradeshow season at an in-person event. With the cancellation of numerous major tradeshows, the team needed a solution and fast. We partnered with their amazing marketing team and helped bring the vision of a virtual unboxing launch to life. The rockstars at Formica truly went all-in brainstorming a box that included three other boxes used to showcase and highlight the new products, plus a sweet treat from a local bakery! Their team handled the invites, webinar set up, and initial design of the box. We produced the box with all the goodies inside, shipped it to all of the attendee's addresses, and are pretty proud of the results!

Formica held two launch sessions at different times during the day to allow for time zone differences. The overall result was interactive, super fun to attend, and very successful. We are so proud to partner with amazing teams and companies and love sharing the success story!

The outside of each custom printed box was made to look like one of the product samples located inside the box. A sweet treat custom created by a local bakery to mimic the products with a custom belly band to complete the look. Each of the boxes showcased below fit snugly inside the master box for shipping.

How the launch went.
During the webinar, the hosts introduced the treat maker's story and inspiration before the products. it was the perfect lead-in! Each treat maker was sent a sample of the products their treat would accompany as inspiration for the special confectionary creation.
After the treat intro, the hosts dove right into the product line, holding up the actual samples, discussing the backstory to the product, and answering live questions that were posted in the chat by attendees!
